However, Yosl Mlotek heard the song at a Warsaw summer camp in the 1930&#8217;s- from Isaac Giterman, the director of the Joint Distribution Committee in Poland. While I&#8217;ve never been able to hear a version of this song , it&#8217;s written lyrics offered the particular light-hardheartedness I was looking for.
